It's interesting how the mind's eye changes with each rotation of the sun. Some say we have control, others say it's out of our hands.  Personally, it seems I only have control of the superfluous.

I've never been so shy in the process making photographs as I am now. When I worked for the papers it seemed as if the press badge gave me a license to put people at ease in front of my lens. I'm relearning the process. I had it down, not anymore. I suppose this is a good thing. Processes change with time and experience.

In photography, like most things, one is constantly training. "Fake it 'till you make it" never resonated in this field for me.

Today's inspiration. Street never gets old.

Back to the Basics

After taking a year and a half to be a stay at home parent, my sweet son Sacha is in the care of another for 4-days-a-week during most of the daytime hours. He has been my muse, subject, whatever you want to call it. My everything, really.

I'm jumping headfirst into my photography/videography business again using a somewhat different lens. I'm not sure what focal length this lens is yet but I'm sure I'll find out. Check back if you have any interest in my musings about the intersection of photography and life.

Here is a link to my website which I will be updating consistently:
